Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping gas and by touching components near the valves when emptying gas cylinders. Risk of poisoning or suffocation caused by inhaling gas.

Remove any sources of ignition.
Protective clothing, safety gloves and safety glasses must always be worn.
Ensure that the work area is adequately ventilated.
When working on vehicles at ambient temperatures over 60 °C, all gas cylinders must be removed.

Disassemble

Remove rocker arm assembly.

Remove both circlips (3).

Remove rocker arm brackets (4, 8, 9), intake valve rocker arm (5), exhaust valve rocker arm (6), washers (7) and springs (2) from rocker arm spindle (1).

Check rocker arm spindle (1), intake valve rocker arm, (5), exhaust valve rocker arm (6), rocker arm brackets (4, 8, 9), pulleys (7) and springs (2) for wear.

If wear or damage is found,



replace all parts.



Assemble

Install the retaining ring (3) on the belt pulley side.

Install rocker arm brackets (4, 8, 9), intake valve rocker arm (5), exhaust valve rocker arm (6), pulleys (7) and springs (2) on the rocker arm spindle.

 Start with the rocker arm bracket (4) on the belt pulley side. Comply with the sequence of the separate parts. Fix rocker arm brackets (4, 8, 9) in position with the screw/bolts (10) and clamps (11).

Install the retaining ring (3) on the flywheel side.

Install rocker arm assembly.
