Remove

Remove oil filter element.



Check

Check segments of oil filter element from outside for metal abrasion and swelling.

Replace

Replace the heat exchanger.

Only if there is metal abrasion on the oil filter element segments or in the oil circuit.

Replace oil spray nozzles.

Only if a piston was replaced due thermal damage.

Remove oil pump, check for wear and damage.

Only when an increased amount of metal abrasion is found on oil filter element segments.



Replace oil pump.

Replace engine oil.

Only if there is metal abrasion or a swollen oil filter element (coolant in the engine oil circuit).
