 Installation: replace O-ring (2).

Remove piston (3)

Inspect seal (4) at piston (3) for wear and damage

 If wear or damage is found: replace piston with sealing ring.

Measure setback (M) of valve (9) relative to cylinder head separating surface

Clean valve disk and face (combustion side) of cylinder head.

 If measurement differs from specification:

Cylinder head without valve seat ring 

Install valve seat ring for constant throttle.

Replace cylinder head.



Remove spring (7)



 Insert a suitable spacer (10, height approx. 6.0 mm) between valve disk (9) and base.

Compress spring with spring plate compressor (12) and remove retainer locks (5) with the magnetic pin (13). Release pressure on spring, take out top spring plate (6) as well as spring and spring guide (8).

 Do not mix up top spring plate (6) and spring guide (8).

 Installation: Fit spring guide (8), spring (7) and spring plate (6) onto the stem of the constant throttle valve (9) and then insert the retainer locks (5) into the spring plate.

Mount spring plate compressor (12) onto the spring plate and compress the spring sufficiently until the wedges lock in place.

Turn cylinder head and pull out valve (9)

 Mark valve.

 Installation: Oil valve stem, push in valve and place spacer (10, height approx. 6.0 mm) below the valve disk.

Install in the reverse order
