4 | Remove the piston (3) with a needle nose pliers (12) | Check the ring (4) and the piston (3). In case of damages, replace the piston (3) together with the ring (4). | |
5 | Support the valve (10) with a block (11) | The block (11) of approx. 6.0 mm height, is to be installed between the valve and the base where the cylinder head is being supported. | |
6 | Remove the conical valve keeper (5) | Place the spring compressor (13) on the spring retainer (6) and compress the spring (7). When necessary, utilize a small hook to dislodge the keepers (5). | |

7 | Remove the spring retainer (6), the spring (7) and the guide (8) | Relieve the load on the spring. | |
8 | Rotate the cylinder head and remove the valve (10) | Mark the valve and its respective housing. | |
9 | Remove the seal (9) | Utilize a small hook to remove the seal from its seat. | |

10 | Install the valve (10) in its respective housing | Lubricate the valve stem with engine oil and insert it in the cylinder head. | |
11 | Support the valve (10) with a block (11) | The block (11) of approx. 6.0 mm height, is to be installed between the valve and the base where the cylinder head is being supported. | |
12 | Install the new seal (9) on the valve stem (10) | ||
| Drift for pressing in the constant throttle seal | ||
Install manually until the seal (9) gets beyond the housing of the keepers on the valve stem (10). Complete the installation with the drift (14). | |||
13 | Install the guide (8), and the spring (7), the spring retainer (6) and fit the keepers (5) in the spring retainer (6) | Observe the position of the top spring retainer (6) and the bottom guide (8). | |
14 | Install the keepers (5) | Place the spring compressor (13) on the spring retainer (6) and compress the spring (7) until enabling the fitting of the keepers (5). Slowly relieve the load on the spring, so the keepers remain attached to the valve stem (10). | |

15 | Installing the piston (3) | Lightly lubricate the ring (4) and the piston (3) with engine oil, taking care not to damage the ring (4). | |
