 Installation

Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.

Remove coolant pump

Detach oil strainer (2)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring of oil strainer (2).



Unscrew bolts (3, 4) on timing case cover (1)

 Only unscrew those bolts (3, 4) on the timing case cover (1) that are accessible from below.



Mount support fixture (6)

 The main lifters (5) of the companies Mazzola and AS Hydraulic are selectively usable.

Support the support fixture (6) from underneath using a suitable jack and lift until the engine mount (10) starts lifting slightly



Unscrew the remaining bolts (3, 4) on the timing case cover (1)



Loosen timing case cover (1) and remove upward

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces of timing case cover (1) and of crankcase.
Replace sealing ring for oil hole in timing case cover (1).

Coat sealing surface of timing case cover (1) with sealing compound
