Testing

Park vehicle on a level surface

 Vehicle must be in ready-to-drive condition:

- Curb weight

- Fuel tank full or appropriate additional weight

- Driver or additional weight of 75 kg

- Pressure of 6.5 bar in compressed-air system.

On vehicles with air suspension, set chassis to "drive position".

Check tire air pressure, correct if necessary



Set up headlamp adjuster at vehicle and check and, if necessary, correct settings according to the information on the vehicle model plate.

 Observe exact operating instructions for headlamp adjuster tester.

If information is not provided on the model plate, perform test and adjustment according to the guidelines of the German vehicle licensing regulations (StVZO).



Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during startup or while running may result in contusions and burns

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine

Switch on low beam.

Check setting of low beam and correct if necessary at the adjusting screws (1)

 When setting the height the
light-dark boundary must have the same coverage as the horizontal broken line (4) of the device. When carrying out the lateral setting, the bent line (5) must begin below central mark (6) on horizontal broken line (4).

Switch on main beam

Check high beam setting

The center of the light beam must be located on the central mark (6). If this is not the case, check the position of the lamp bulb.

Switch off high beam

Switch on fog lamps.

Check fog lamp setting

Models 613.364/356, models 613.367 up to 31.07.02, model 613.368 up to 31.12.02

 The light-dark boundary must run horizontally, level with the hyphen (4) The fog lamps cannot be adjusted separately.

Check and correct, if necessary, fog lamp setting

Model 613.367 as of 01.08.02, model 613.368 as of 01.01.03

 The light-dark boundary must run horizontally, level with the broken line (4)

The fog lamps can be adjusted.
