If brake linings are damaged or worn: | |||
Replace brake shoes on both wheel brakes of the axle - subject to separate repair order. | |||
| Remove/install brake linings | ||
4 | Check brake drums for heat cracks, scores and wear | Front axle 732.241 Rear axle 741.990, 748.785 | |
If there is minor scoring and the wear limit is not yet reached: | |||
Skim brake drum and replace brake shoes - subject to separate repair order. | |||
If repair stage II is reached when skimming the brake drums, use brake shoes no. 2. | |||
If damage is significant or the wear limit is exceeded: | |||
Replace brake drum and brake shoes - subject to separate repair order. | |||

13 | Secure vehicle against rolling | ||
14 | Connect one test pressure gauge each to the test connections (1, 2) of the left combination cylinder | | |
15 | Start engine and fill compressed air system up to the shutoff pressure | ||
16 | Release parking brake and read off the indicator on the test pressure gauge of the parking brake | If specified value is not reached: | |
Check/repair compressed air system and brake system - subject to separate repair order. | |||
17 | Operate service brake when parking brake is released and read off the indicator on the test pressure gauge of the service brake | If specified value is not reached: | |
Check/repair compressed air system and brake system - subject to separate repair order. | |||
18 | Switch off engine and detach pressure gauge from test connections (1, 2) |
