Check brake system for leaks

Before starting the test ensure that the compressed-air system reservoirs are filled sufficiently with air. The compressed air lines of the brake system should be subjected to a visual inspection and an acoustic test.

Apply service brake

Before starting the test ensure that the compressed-air system reservoirs are filled sufficiently with air. Have an assistant observe whether the movement at the brake levers of the front wheel brake or rear wheel brake is faultless.

Operate parking brake

Before starting the test ensure that the compressed-air system reservoirs are filled sufficiently with air. Have an assistant observe whether the movement at the brake levers of the rear wheel brake is faultless.

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
