Removing

Operate parking brake

Loosen the wheel nuts on the front wheels slightly

Jack up vehicle at front axle and support on stands



Lift/jack up vehicle

Remove wheels



Remove/install wheels

Remove front wheel hub (4)



Remove/install front wheel hub

Remove grease from the front wheel
hubs (4)

Clean front wheel hubs (4), inner tapered roller bearings (3) as well as outer tapered roller bearings (5)



Checking

Check inner tapered roller bearings (3), outer tapered roller bearings (5) and bearing races for condition and wear

 Only replace worn or damaged tapered roller bearings in pairs subject to a separate repair order.



Install

Grease inner tapered roller bearings (3) and outer tapered roller bearings (5) thoroughly

Pack front wheel hubs (4) as well as cover (11) with specified grease quantity



Install front wheel hubs (4)

 Renew radial sealing rings (1, 2).



Remove/install front wheel hub



Remove/install wheels

Lower vehicle

Tighten wheel nuts

 Model 613 with Trilex wheels
