Inspecting

1.1

Replace brake fluid at clutch operator.

Only if the brake fluid has not been changed within the last three years.

Fill the compressed-air system until the pressure regulator cuts off and then switch off the engine

Move steering lock into drive position.

 Leave the steering lock in the drive position during the entire procedure.

Select EPS test value 15 on the FSS display, read off and note down value.

 Transmission in neutral position and
clutch closed.

Engage gear, read off and note down value on FSS display.

 Clutch open.

Calculate and note difference between clutch closed and clutch open.

Place transmission in neutral

Fold out emergency clutch pedal

 To do this actuate release for emergency clutch pedal.

Read off and note down value on FSS display.

 Clutch closed.

Press emergency clutch pedal and hold down, read off and note down value on FSS display.

 Clutch open.

Calculate and note difference between clutch closed and clutch open.

Perform steps 7 to 9 at least three times and determine an average value.

The results of steps 4 and 10 must not fall below the minimum difference value.

 If the minimum value is not achieved  bleed the clutch operator
- as a separate repair order.

Determine the different between the results of step 4 and 10.

 The difference must not be greater than 40. If the difference is greater than this value  bleed the clutch operator
- as a separate repair order.
