Clutch actuation - replace brake fluid

Bleeding

 Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Connect bleeder unit to expansion reservoir (1)

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.



Brake fluids (DOT 4 plus)

Brake fluid change unit with supply tank (10-20 l)

Remove the protective cap (2) and plug the bleed hose (3) onto the bleed valve (4)

Open the vent valve (4) and allow brake fluid to keep flowing until it no longer has any bubbles in it

 The pressure in the bleeder unit must not drop below 2.0 bar.

Close the bleed valve (4)

 Breather valve to fitting

Detach bleed hose (3) and fit protective cap (2)

Disconnect bleeder unit

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.

Check fluid level in expansion reservoir (1), rectify if necessary



Press clutch pedal several times

 If pedal pressure is insufficient repeat bleeding procedure on clutch pedal.

Check tightness of breather valve (4)

 Carry out a visual inspection only.
