V-belt, inspect tension
1 Place tester onto the V-belt in the middle between two belt pulleys. The stop (arrow) on the tester must touch the side of the V-belt and the indicator arm must be retracted into the tester.
2 Use the pushbutton to exert an even, vertical pressure on the top surface of the V-belt until the pushbutton can be clearley heard and felt to disengage. To avoid measurement errors, exert pressure only on the pushbutton and stop pressing as soon as it disengages.

3 Lift off tester carefully without altering the position of the indicator arm.
4 Read off measurement at the intersection of the indicator arm and the KG scale (arrow).
If the measurement obtained does not equal the specified setting, it is then necessary to correct the tension of the V-belt. Inspect both V-belts of double-belt drive.
