Remove/install

1

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Open flap (1) of seat console (2).

Remove jack (3) and vehicle tool kit (4).

When removing the right front seat.

Release and disconnect electrical connector of sensor mat for seat belt warning system.

Release and disconnect left and right seat heating electrical connector (4-pin) (X54/12) under seat cushion.

Remove cable tie (6).

 Installation: Replace cable tie (6).

Remove screws of seat console (5).

 Installation: Apply sealant to screws of seat console (5) so that the anti-corrosion protection is retained at this point.

 Bolt, front seat mounting console to floor

Remove front screws (7).

 Installation: Apply sealant to front screws (7) so that the anti-corrosion protection is retained at this point.

Fold front seat forward.

Remove rear screws (8).

 Installation: Apply sealant to rear screws (8) so that the anti-corrosion protection is retained at this point.

Take front seat with seat console (2) out of vehicle.

Install in the reverse order.

Perform function test on seat heating.
