Risk of explosion from welding or soldering work on sealed air conditioning system. Risk of poisoning. Inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors may be toxic. Risk of injury. Contact with liquid refrigerant may result in injury to the skin and eyes.

Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear eye protection and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated areas. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been discharged.

Provide air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit

Install low-pressure line of air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit at the test and filling valve, low-pressure side (1)

Install high-pressure line of air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit, high-pressure side (2) at the test and filling valve, high-pressure side (2)

Draining

Drain air conditioning system according to the manufacturer of air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit

Slowly open the valves of the air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit. This avoids compressor fluid being drawn out with the refrigerant.

Switch off air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit

Disconnect high-pressure line and low-pressure line of the air conditioning extraction, processing and filling unit from test and filling valve, low-pressure side (1) and test and filling valve, high-pressure side (2)
