The anvil should be positioned on a solid surface when punching the numbers.
1 Start with "Maybach emblem "symbol punch at left in window plate (2).
2 Then position and punch in the "W "letter punch at the left edge of the first increment marking in the window plate (2)
3 Move one increment to the right on the window plate scale (2) with each subsequent number punch until the entire vehicle identification number and the concluding Maybach emblem have been punched in the left rear longitudinal member (1) replacement part.
