Bleeding

 Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Open screw cap (4) of brake fluid reservoir (5)

 Only if bleeding takes place at the left front of the front axle.

Open screw cap (4) of brake fluid reservoir (6)

 Only if bleeding takes place at the right front of the front axle.

Open screw cap (4) of brake fluid reservoir (7)

 Only if bleeding takes place at the rear axle.

Connect filler/bleeder unit to brake fluid reservoir (6) and apply the specified pressure to the brake system

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions. Bleed pressure
2.0 bar.

Connect bleed hose (2) of brake fluid receptacle (1) to bleed valve (3) of front axle on right

 Carry out the bleeding procedure at all brake calipers at each hub drive.

Open bleed valve (3) by one or two turns

 On the front axle with code (X19) Load rating II or code (X20) Load rating III, the front wheel must be detached and the lower brake caliper released and swiveled downwards.

 Leave the bleed valve (3) open until the brake fluid escapes free of bubbles and without contaminants (bright color of brake fluid).

Close the bleed valve (3)

Inspect braking system for proper operation and leaks

 Fully depress brake pedal several times. If, after bleeding the brake system, it is suspected that there is still air in the circuit, bleed the brake system again.

Switch off and disconnect filler/bleeder unit

 Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.
