| Remove and install | ||
1 | Disconnect the pneumatic piping from the 2nd gear shift cylinder | ||
2 | Remove the nuts (14) and washers (15) | Install: Apply chemical lock on the nuts. | |

3 | Remove the shift cylinder | Install: Apply silicone on the surfaces indicated by the arrows. | |
4 | Install in reverse order | ||
| Disassemble and assemble | ||
5 | Fasten the shift cylinder in a vise with lead or aluminum protected jaws | ||
6 | Push the actuation rod tongue (10) and press the spring (12) | Utilize a tightening clamp. | |
7 | Remove the bolts (1), the washers (2), the cylinder head (3), the cylinder (8) and the sealing ring (4) | Assembling: Install a new sealing ring (4). | |
Assembling: Apply sealing compound on the bolt thread. | |||

8 | Remove the flange (9) | Assembling: Apply silicone on the surfaces indicated by the arrows. | |
9 | Remove the piston (5) with the plugging ring (6) and the felt ring (7) | Assembling: Install new previously lubricated rings (6) and (7). | |
10 | Remove the actuation rod (10), the sealing ring (11) and the spring (12) | Assembling: If the spring does not correspond to specified value it will have to be replaced. | |
Assembling: Install a new sealing ring (11) and lubricate the actuation rod (10). | |||
11 | Assemble in reverse order | ||

12 | Do a tightness check on the 2nd gear shift cylinder before installing it in the rear axle | ||
