Danger!

Danger to life from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury by pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Do not work between wheels and wheel wells or in wheel box.

Only carry out check and adjustment operations from underneath the vehicle.

Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Installation

Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.

Secure vehicle against rolling

Jack up vehicle at rear axle

Support vehicle frame

Detach trailing arm (2) from the longitudinal link carriers

Observe the number and installation position if necessary of spacer plates fitted.

Installation: Insert spacer plates as per Removal.
Check driveline angle, adjust if necessary, see:

Perform chassis alignment.

Remove bearing cap (1) and remove stabilizer bar (3)
