1 Mark installed position of collared nut (1) relative to rear axle output shaft (2) (e,g, with a scribing iron).

2 Unlock collared nut (1).

3 Screw  pin wrench (3) onto coupling flange.

4 Unscrew collared nut (1).

5 Place oil collecting tray under transfer case.

6 Pull off coupling flange using  puller.

7 Check sealing surfaces of coupling flange for scores, if necessary replace coupling flange according to findings.
