Removing

Remove flywheel

Remove radial sealing ring (1) using a screwdriver

Cover over crankshaft with a cloth as a protection.

Checking

Check flange or race on flywheel for galling

If there is galling due to the radial sealing ring (1):

Mount race on flywheel flange or replace.

Install

Fit spacer sleeve (2) onto the crankshaft

Position radial seal (1) on the crankshaft and drive in with the drift (3) until the drift (3) is abutting the spacer sleeve (2)

If a race is mounted on the flywheel flange then a radial sealing ring (1) with a large inside Ø must be installed.

The radial sealing ring (1) with spring expander has a larger inside Ø than a radial sealing ring (1) without spring expander.

Install radial sealing ring (1) dry.
