1 | Drain engine oil | ||
| Engine oil and filter change | ||
2 | Remove all detachable parts on oil pan (1) | See MTU workshop manual. | |
3 | Remove bolts (3) on oil pan (1) and remove oil pan (1) | ||
| Install | ||
4 | Clean sealing surfaces on housing and oil pan (1) free of grease | ||
5 | Attach seal (2) to oil pan (1) | Install new seal (2). Additionally coat seal (2) at corners with sealant. | |
6 | Attach oil pan (1) and screw in bolts (3) | | |

7 | Attach all detachable parts to oil pan (1) | See MTU workshop manual. | |
8 | Pour in engine oil through the oil filler neck | In doing so observe all Specifications for Operating Fluids and operator's manual from MTU otherwise engine can be damaged. | |

Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury from bruises and burns if you hold your hand into engine when it is started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it moving off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
9 | Crank engine and check for leaks whilst it is running | ||
10 | Turn off engine | ||
11 | Check oil level after approx. 5 minutes and correct if necessary. | See MTU operator's manual |
