Check whether the weld seams (1) at the crossbar (2) are present.

 Clean crossbar (2) in area of weld seams (1) before visual check.

If one or both weld seams (1) are not present,



create a TIPS case.

If the weld seams (1) are present,



continue with operation step 4.

Install cross strut

Remove screw/bolts (3).

 Replace screw/bolts (3).

Remove nut (4).

 For this, counterhold screw of control arm.

 Install new nut (4) and screw of control arm.

Retrofit cross strut (5).

 The cross strut (5) is currently NOT available through the standard logistics process in GLC. Until further notice, the cross strut (5) must be ordered directly from the manufacturer (VB-Airsuspension). The contact person is Mr. Sander Dusseldorp. Purchase order by email to: [email protected].
The following information is to be given in the email:
- FIN/VIN of the affected vehicle
- Object number of the cross strut (5) (A 907 320 04 02, VB No. 145 206 03 01)
- Invoice and delivery address
Please ensure that an individual invoice is provided by VB-Airsuspension for each vehicle. This is absolutely necessary for submission of costs and settlement of ancillary costs.

 Only tighten nut (4) lightly by hand.

 For this, screw in screws (3) and attach nut (4).

Counterhold nut (4) and tighten screw of control arm.

 Screw, control arm to crossmember/rear axle spring
