1 Slide new coolant hoses (7, 8, 9, 10) loosely onto coolant pipes (5, 6).
Observe installation position marking.

2 Moisten O-rings of quick-release couplings with lubricant and install coolant pipes (5) .
Ensure absolute cleanliness and freedom from grease are given. The securing clamps must lock into place.
3 Pull the clamps on both coolant hoses together using the pliers (11).
Pull clamping link (12) together up to end stop. The distance (arrow) shown on the clamping link (12) is adjusted through the clamp springing back.

4 Moisten O-rings of quick-release couplings with lubricant and install coolant pipes (6) .
Ensure absolute cleanliness and freedom from grease are given. The securing clamps must lock into place. A spacer washer (13) must be fitted between the bracket (14) and the retaining clamp for the coolant pipe (6).

5 Use pliers (11) to pull the clamp together on both coolant hoses on the coolant pipe (6).
Pull clamping link together up to end stop.

6 Slide new coolant hoses (1, 2) loosely onto coolant pipes (3, 4).
The clamps are tightened once the retarder has been installed.
7 Fit coolant pipes (3, 4) at bottom to transmission .
