Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and switch on ignition

 XENTRY update 12/2016 and add-on 6946 at least must be installed for the update. As of update 03/2017, the add-on will be included with the regular release.

Perform initial quick test

 The initial quick test is stored until the end of the diagnosis session.

 The update procedure is completely menu-assisted under:
MCM - engine management (A4)  
Adaptations 
Initial startup 
Control module programming

Delete fault memory in all control units

Run final quick test, printout initial and final quick test and file in a tamperproof manner

 There must be no fault codes in the control units being updated. If necessary, process any fault codes in other control units, subject to a separate repair order.
