We would like to point out that an increasing number of customers are finding the automatic tensioning (belt slack elimination) of the driver or front passenger seat belt annoying and are complaining about it.
Please explain the operating principle of system to the customer.
After the driver or front passenger seat belt is buckled with the ignition/engine on, the tension of the seat belt is adjusted. This function is activated ex factory.
If a customer complains about the automatic tensioning after the seat belt is buckled, this can be deactivated on the instrument cluster, also see operator's manual.

Deactivation of automatic tensioning cannot be invoiced under warranty and goodwill.
