Please note that the user interface for the Garmin® MAP PILOT has changed. The new user interface is similar to the COMAND interface. The changeover shall take place gradually as the new SD cards are shipped. It is also possible to install the new user interface through a software update in the Download Manager.
The designation of the navigation software is 37.09 (16/43.01, E70) or 37.15 (17/02.00, E70.2).
Time of change
The change is available with immediate effect in the download manager. The initial SD card can be ordered from May 2017 onwards (dependent on region). This will also include the new navigation software.
Before the changeover
After making the software update to the new user interface, it is no longer possible to return to the old user interface. We strongly recommend that you make a backup copy before making the software update.
"Help" in the Download Manager contains a detailed description on how to make the backup copy.
The last navigation software version with the latest user interface is 33.30 (16/37.00, E66.2).
New features
The following changes have been made:
Harmonization of the user interface to the COMAND interface.
Option for choosing several route alternatives is no longer available.
Option for choosing other vehicle symbols is no longer available.
Several menus have been restructured.
It should be noted that the new version does not provide an improvement in performance.
