To improve customer satisfaction with regard to the basic carrier with quick-release fastener, we would like to point out that there has been a technical modification to the clamping claws; this modification means that it is no longer necessary to replace the basic carrier with quick-release fastener if the tensioning screw is seized.
The seized tensioning screw can be released under the following conditions:
The item number and the date of manufacture correspond to those given in the list.

Nevertheless, it is still possible that, when the clamping claw is fully opened to the limit stop, the tensioning screw is locked and no longer releases by itself when closing.
Background:
The release torque of the tensioning screw is then higher than the torque preset by the mechanical components in the quick-release clamp.
Procedure for basic carriers with manufacturing date > 01.01.2019 or 01.02.2019:
A screwdriver can be used to release the tensioning screw. Rotate clockwise (arrow) as shown. The next steps are given in the installation and operating instructions.
