For vehicles as from modification year 14/2 (code 805 and code 055) a new drive unit with Hall sensor A 156 890 02 30 is installed at the factory. Once the old drive unit with position sensor A 156 890 01 30 has been used up, only the new drive unit with Hall sensor will then be available from parts supply.
When installing the new drive unit in vehicles with code 804 or code 805 and without code 055, the previous gas-filled strut A 156 980 05 64 must be replaced by the new gas-filled strut A 156 980 07 64.
Code 98O, if not yet available, must also be entered in the vehicle data card online in the VeDoc.
An SCN coding of the control unit for the trunk lid/liftgate control (N121/1) must then be performed.
