Service information: Replacing longitudinal member below main floor panel

 If on vehicles which have been produced up to 31.12.2007 the longitudinal member under the main floor panel is also affected when repairing the main floor panel on the left or right, the following should be observed:

When installing:

the left main floor panel (A 204 610 11 60), together with

the left longitudinal member (A 204 610 05 23),
the new tank holder must be used on the left at the same time on a mandatory basis (A 204 610 03 36)

When installing

the right main floor panel (A 204 610 12 60), together with the

right longitudinal member (A 204 610 06 23),

the new tank holder must be used on the right at the same time (A 204 610 04 36) on a mandatory basis

Furthermore, the thread on the

left longitudinal member (A 204 610 05 23) and

right longitudinal member (A 204 610 06 23) for the threaded connection of the rear tunnel reinforcement must be reduced from M10 to M8 by means of helicoil.
