Due to market-specific requirements from countries with lower fuel grade, with immediate effect it is possible to retrofit vehicles in these markets within an external fuel filter. The standard fitment the lifetime fuel filter is integrated in the fuel delivery unit within the fuel tank. The option of retrofitting an external fuel filter considerably reduces the outlay of labor and material for replacing the fuel filter following a one-off retrofit.
Retrofitting is chargeable, cost settlement based on warranty or goodwill is not possible.
