In case of damage to the brake system, the message memory of the maintenance system control unit (MS) (A2 a3) must be read out. It can be checked in the message memory if the brake lining wear warning lamp was active for a long period of time. If the "Brake lining wear" warning indication was ignored, brake repair cannot be covered by warranty.
In case of warranty claims or ESKULAB queries, it is absolutely essential that the printout of the message memory and the brake wear analysis sheet be enclosed. In case of vehicles under warranty, a TIPS case must additionally be generated.
