The damage profiles of wheel bolts and light alloy disk wheels with discoloration under the top coat point to the use of wheel cleaner containing acid (non-recommended care product).
Corrosion and discoloration under the top coat are furthered in addition by long reaction times of the cleaner. In the process the cleaner diffuses through the top coat and leaves behind visible, run-like tracks on the wheel mirror.
For reason of the facts stated we recommend only the use of the approved alkaline MB wheel cleaner with part number
A 001 986 34 71 12.
Please also inform your operators of washer system etc. about this and ensure that no cleaning products or care products containing acid are used.
