Change to drive program
It has been possible to change the drive program since 01.10.2014 subject to a fee.
The following transmission modes are available:
Code G0U (Economy transmission mode)
Code G0V (Power transmission mode)
Code G0Z (Fleet transmission mode)
The code G0Z (Fleet drive program) is not approved for model 967.
Code G0W (Offroad transmission mode)
Code G0S (Municipal transmission mode)
The code G0S (Municipal drive program) is not approved for model 967.
Code G0X (Fire-service transmission mode)
Code G0Y (Heavy transmission mode)
Code G0Y (Heavy transmission mode) is only approved for models 963.424, 963.426, 964.233, 964.414, 964.416, 964.418, 964.424, 964.426 with code G3Y (Turbo retarder clutch) and code Z5F (OM 473).
Preconditions
XENTRY must be online for the transmission mode change.
Procedure
Order the desired transmission mode with the associated part number from GLC quoting the vehicle identification number.
The GLC checks installability for the specified vehicle.
After a positive installability check, the GLC supplies an empty data medium (this is necessary for process-related reasons and can be disposed of immediately after receipt).
Perform the transmission mode change with XENTRY (after receipt of data medium).
Performing the transmission mode change
Connect XENTRY and select the control unit "CPC - Drive control (A3)".
Select the "Adaptations" tab in the control unit main menu.
Select sub-menu item "Control unit programming" in menu item "Initial startup".
Follow the further instructions from XENTRY.
On vehicles with code G0T (Predictive Powertrain Control) and one of the listed hardware part numbers of the Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC) control unit (A56), the following steps must subsequently be performed:

In XENTRY, select control unit of "PPC - Predictive Powertrain Control (A56)".
Select the "Adaptations" tab in the control unit main menu.
In the "Parameterization" menu item, select the sub-menu item "999 Transmission mode selection".
Follow the further instructions from XENTRY.
