Due to recent events we would like to notify you of the following:
The "DSR inoperative" message may be displayed in the multifunction display of the instrument cluster when the DSR (Downhill Speed Regulation) system is switched on and the conditions for the system to be in active mode are not fulfilled.
See operator's manual under chapter:
Driving and parking
Driving and driving safety systems
Function of the DSR (Downhill Speed Regulation)
DSR in active/passive mode
DSR must be switched off when in drive mode 2WD. Otherwise the "DSR inoperative" message will be displayed permanently in the multifunction display of the instrument cluster until drive mode 4L or 4H is set. If the conditions for the system to be in active mode are not fulfilled (see operator's manual), a warning tone is also issued.
It is only when the "DSR inoperative" message is displayed in the multifunction display of the instrument cluster despite all of the requirements for active DSR mode being fulfilled that this message indicates that the DSR is possibly unavailable due to a malfunction.
For complaints involving the DSR, we request that you inform customers about the content of this service information.
No repair work, diagnostic work or replacement parts may be charged on guarantee or goodwill on the basis of the display of the "DSR inoperative" message in the multifunction display of the instrument cluster (without the conditions for active DSR mode being fulfilled).
