In the event of customer complaints that indicate a defect such as, e.g. a short circuit or an electrical fault in the automatic gear control (AGS) control unit, then in the majority of instances, from a technical point of view, it is fully sufficient to replace the automatic gear control (AGS) control unit. Generally the automatic gear control (AGS) controller unit need not be replaced.
If the automatic gear control (AGS) control unit contains hydraulic fluid (Pentosin), then the automatic gear control (AGS) controller unit has to be replaced. This should then be separately noted in the warranty claim message field.
