Please remember that when filling the AdBlue® tank it is essential to ensure that only pure AdBlue® is poured in.
During the course of inspection, it has come to our attention that pump modules frequently contain diesel, gasoline and/or mineral oil residue. The pump modules and AdBlue® hose lines are not resistant to such fluids.
In order to prevent repeated failure of the pump module, the following components must be replaced on vehicles on which the AdBlue® tank has been filled with the wrong fluid:
AdBlue® tank
All AdBlue® hose lines
Pump module
AdBlue® metering device
We advise against cleaning the components, as residue from the cleaning agents could damage the pump module and the AdBlue® metering device.
Please note that repairs required as a result of filling the AdBlue® tank with the wrong fluid are not included in the scope of warranty.
Before replacing a pump module, a check must always be made first for incorrect fuel filling in accordance with the work instructions given below.
Components that are damaged due to incorrect fuel filling are not covered by warranty.
