The following filling options are now available with immediate effect:
One-way filling hose (picture):
This hose has a locking mechanism which enables drip-free filling to be performed. The fixed connection between the can and the AdBlue® container prevents any overfilling.
1 Screw one-way filling hose onto AdBlue® refill can.
The one-way hose remains closed until it is fastened to the vehicle's AdBlue® filler neck.
2 Fit one-way filling hose to vehicle filler neck.
3 Screw on finger-tight in clockwise direction.
Do not tighten the one-way filling hose too much. Once a resistance is felt, the one-way filling hose is sufficiently tightened.
4 Lift can and place to one side. It may be necessary, to move the can to this position to enable the filling process to be performed. The AdBlue® container is full when the can is no longer being emptied.
5 After filling has been completed, carefully unscrew the one-way filling hose from the AdBlue® container first and then slowly detach it to ensure that the AdBlue® still in the bleed line can be drained off.
This helps to prevent any soiling.
5 l can:
This has the same locking thread as on the 10 l can.
The most varied types of AdBlue® containers are available on the market. The one-way filling hose however, is specially matched to our can. A reliable and drip-free filling process can only be guaranteed when this particular combination is chosen.
Before the maintenance interval is reached:
If the "Refill AdBlue" service indicator appears in the multifunction display before the maintenance interval is reached, both the refill bottle and the one-way filling hose with 5 l can is available.
We recommend that the customer be shown how to refill the tank
in order to avoid the risk of contamination.
During maintenance, only the 10 l can of AdBlue® in combination with the one-way filling hose should be used!
Refilling AdBlue® as well as testing and diagnostic operations on the AdBlue® system due to a low AdBlue® tank level must not be invoiced under warranty. For this purpose, the filling capacities of the respective AdBlue® tank must also be observed.
It is essential to prevent overfilling of the AdBlue® tank.
The AdBlue® tank can otherwise be damaged.
