We would like to notify you here of the software download MR1_35. Published as of Star Diagnosis DVD 09/2010.
The software also contains a rinsing function, which helps to avoid any clogging of the metering device through urea crystals.
The rinsing function should always be used on vehicles with a clogged up metering device to ensure that the complaint is not repeated. Unfortunately, experience has shown that the rinsing procedure has not always been used in the workshops.
Metering device warranty claims
For warranty claims in relation to metering devices, a check will be made in future to see if the latest software is installed. We reserve the right to reject warranty applications if it is not used.
Standard
The current software with rinsing function for the metering device, has been used in series production as of the following engine end numbers:
Engine model series 900: As of engine end number 887737
Engine model series 457: As of engine end number 206667
Engine model series 500: As of engine end number 751442
Notes in TIPS
We would also ask you to observe the current information in TIPS on the following fault code:
MR 1 42 19 (Diffusor clogged up)
MR 1 68 20 (SCR air pressure too high)
The information listed here will help to avoid any need to replace a metering device. Apart from this, the clogging up of metering devices can also be permanently avoided.
