We would like to remind you that within the warranty period the following components in the injection system for all vehicles with code (MS4) BlueTec 4 or code (MS5) BlueTec 5 are to be sent to the corresponding Warranty Inspection Centers following replacement.
To ensure that the warranty cost acceptance process runs smoothly, the relevant diagnosis documentation must always be included.
Injection nozzle (SSL 07775 injection nozzle PLN)
If injection nozzles are replaced individually because of engine running characteristic complaints, the corresponding printout from Star Diagnosis is to be included along with the smooth idle control values.
If injection nozzles are replaced as sets in authorized workshops with an output dynamometer, the performance graph should also be included.
Unit pump (SSL 07778 unit pump element PLN)
If unit pumps are replaced individually because of engine running characteristic complaints, the corresponding printout from Star Diagnosis is to be included along with the smooth idle control values.
If unit pumps are replaced as sets because of output/fuel consumption complaints in authorized workshops with an output dynamometer, the performance graph should also be included.
If unit pumps are replaced because of oil dilution through fuel (oil level increase), then the completed engine analysis sheet is to be included.
