Due to a recent change in Austrian laws we would like to inform you that Euro III engines can be converted from 3 to 5 eco points by downloading an engine control (MR) control unit upgrade.
This allows to extend the oil change intervals to about
ca. 100.000 km in long-distance traffic and to reduce fuel consumption by appox. ca. 4%.
Should a customer request such a modification, the required steps are documented in work instructions SM07.15-W-0002A.
To carry out the download, a CD containing vehicle-specific data is required.
For this purpose, the vehicle ident no. of the vehicle to be converted must be indicated in addition to CD part no.
A 000 827 40 59 when ordering this CD.
The CD can be obtained via the usual parts ordering channels. Its price is 250,- Euro, plus VAT.
