Modification notes
When the vehicle keys undergo teach-in, the immobilizer is activated via VeDoc. This in turn means that all vehicles equipped with control units, in which the data record no longer matches the engine, are monitored.
Excluded from this ruling are all vehicles with vehicle transfer control units.
We recommend providing "24h Service" with all vehicle transfer control units should there be any complaints. These vehicle transfer control units are the only way of ensuring that the vehicle keys can undergo teach-in in the event of any external assembly.
The part numbers from the parts ordering notes table should be used when ordering new vehicle transfer control units.

All vehicle transfer control units as well as any other engine control (MR) control units for engine model series 500 and 900, which are not included in the parts ordering notes table and which are still available in the field organization, can no longer be used.
The vehicle transfer control units can be obtained at a special price from GLC.

The following is to be ascertained by the field organization:
1 The customer should use the control unit only as transfer control unit (only for transferring to the next workshop)
2 Adapt all parameters to the transfer control unit.
For vehicles with Euro 4 or Euro 5 the information in SI07.15-W-0021A is to be observed, otherwise the SCR frame module control unit (A95) and the AdBlue metering valve SCR (Y109) may be damaged.
3 Inform customer that the transfer control unit can reduce the engine output, i.e. it may be less than the engine output specified for the corresponding vehicle
4 The transfer control units are only available in Daimler workshops.
If you should have problems with the VeDoc data after activating the immobilizer, a contact partner shall be indicated to you in VeDoc.
