Due to recent events we would like to notify you here of the software download MR5_07. This download was issued with Star Diagnosis DVD 11/2010.
If the metering device is clogged up, the download must be executed to prevent any repetition of the complaint.
The software change (series production breakpoint as of engine end number 887 737) also includes a rinsing function, which can prevent any clogging of the metering device through crystallized AdBlue on a lasting basis.
To prevent any unwarranted replacement of metering devices, the current notes in TIPS on the fault codes
MR 6820 = SCR compressed air too high and
MR 4219 = Diffusor clogged
must be strictly observed.
For warranty claims in relation to metering devices, a check will be made immediately to see if the latest engine software is installed.
