Take SD card out of original packaging.

Insert SD card into SD card slot in the navigation system.

Carry out SD card in-service date.

The head unit's navigation function must be activated.
It is not possible to carry out SD card in-service date in radio mode, for example.
SD card is authorized for the navigation system and can then only be used in this navigation system.

Take SD card out of SD card slot in the navigation system.

Insert SD card into SD card slot in personal computer.

Start Garmin® MAP PILOT Download Manager on personal computer.

The Garmin® MAP PILOT Download Manager can be installed via the following path:

SD card data is read out, download and installation preparation.

Start download and installation of current map data.

Duration of download and installation is approx. 2 to 4 h. No additional system entries are necessary during this period.

Only take SD card out after installation has been completed.
Otherwise, the SD card is not up-to-date.
