To print out the certification the complete document should always be printed out in DIN mode A4 landscape format.
The certificate is to be submitted with the vehicle documents for installation acceptance.
The certificate must be kept together with the registration papers.
The officially issued certificate is only available in the German/English version.

Detailed installation instructions should be handed over to customers who install their trailer hitch themselves (see Retrofitting and converting special equipment in WIS, Group 31.10). These must be submitted on final inspection.
The vehicle owner's manual contains instructions for the operation and maintenance of the trailer coupling for the vehicle owner.
On certain vehicles it is mandatory for a more powerful electric fan to be installed (see EPC).
