Tasks
The communications module control unit has the following tasks:
The communications module control unit receives real-time traffic data from the service provider via the integrated communications interface and sends this data via a USB connection (Universal Serial Bus) to the radio (Audio/COMAND) (N87/6).
The communications module control unit receives position data from the radio (Audio/COMAND) and sends this data via the integrated communications interface to the service provider.
The communications module control unit can only fulfill its task with a valid subscription for real-time traffic data.
