During the learn-in operation the remote control is synchronized with the rolling code in the FFB control module.
We differentiate between automatic and manual learn-in.
Automatic learn-in is required when the remote control has been operated erroneously more than 200 times (radio frequency signals transmitted without connection to FFB control module), however, the maximum error limit of 18000 erroneous operations has not been reached. The control module withdraws the authorization for the remote control after exceeding the lower error limit for safety reasons.
Manual learn-in is necessary when the remote control has exceeded the maximum error limit of 18000 erroneous operations so that the automatic learn-in procedure is no longer possible. Such errors can occur after changing the battery in the remote control, etc.
Automatic learn-in procedure:
Press "lock" button or "unlock" button on FFB remote control twice within 5 s.
Manual learn-in procedure:
Switch ignition on and back off within 3 s
and
then press "lock" button or "unlock" button on the FFB remote control three times within 20 s.
