Each radio frequency remote control has its own fixed code to ensure that only remote controls associated with the vehicle can be used for locking and unlocking the vehicle.
The fixed code for all remote controls belonging to the vehicle is stored in the FFB control module at the plant. The remote control fixed code is transferred to the FFB control module with each radio signal. The control module checks the code for authorization before it executes a command.
If a remote control is lost, authorization for the lost remote control can be inhibited on-board by the customer or driver for safety reasons.
To inhibit authorization it is necessary to confirm all remote controls still present in sequence. The code for the lost remote control is thereby deleted automatically so that authorization for the remote control in question is inhibited.
