B65 Coolant temperature sensor
Coolant temperature sensor location | The coolant temperature sensor (B65) is screwed into the coolant outlet pipe of the heat exchanger.
Coolant temperature sensor body | The coolant temperature sensor (B65) is designed as PTC resistor (PT 1000), this means its resistance increases when the temperature rises.
Coolant temperature sensor function | The coolant temperature sensor (B65) changes its resistance according to the coolant temperature and with it the voltage adjacent to the retarder control (RS) control unit. The retarder control (RS) control unit can assign a correct temperature to this voltage, on condition that the value is within the permissible range. |
