To interrupt the fuel supply to the distributor shaft

Function

The DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) detects the accelerator position by means of the signal received from the accelerator pedal position sensor (R25/2) and calculates engine speed using the signal delivered by the crankshaft position sensor (L5/6). During engine braking >1500/min and when the accelerator pedal is not depressed, the DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) opens the supply valve (Y23/2y4) and closes the check valve (Y23/2y2). This increases the control pressure used in regulating the quantity of fuel injected and pushes the distributor shaft into the "zero delivery" position.
