For vehicles as of engine end number 902 903 00 970 515 protective sleeves (A) are installed with a left-hand thread (1) in the cylinder head. For assembly of the protective sleeve (A) in the cylinder head coat the thread for securing in the cylinder head with Loctite 640 as for the previous protective sleeves (B). The tightening torque of the spark plugs could be increased due to the left-hand thread (1) on the protective sleeve (A) and therefore "spark plug connector lift", caused by leaky steel sealing rings on the spark plugs, is avoided.
In order to avoid the "spark plug connector lift" the protective sleeve (B) the right-hand thread (2) must be coated with the Duralco 4525 adhesive for vehicles up to engine end number 902 903 00 970 514 for assembly. Through gluing in of the protective sleeve (B) in the cylinder head the tightening torque of the spark plug can be increased as for the protective sleeves (A). After assembly of the protective sleeves (B) with the Duralco 4525 adhesive an information label (3) must be gluid with the altered tightening torque for the spark plugs on the cylinder head cover.
